Another look at MoMath’s founder Glen Whitney shot for Bloomberg Pursuits
Michael Scoggins for SCAD
I got the chance to shoot artist Michael Scoggins this past weekend here in New York for the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD to you cool kids). It was one of those very last minute jobs that has been happening a lot lately. This one even more so than others. Like a 9 pm phone call the night before type of last minute. But I’m not complaining! I was just happy to be open. So after a couple late night emails, everything was set for the following morning.
If you are in NYC and want to see some awesome art, head over to see Michael’s current show at the gallery, Freight and Volume (the link is below). Also, check out his youtube interview where he describes his process. Its really quite amazing. Thanks again to Meredith at SCAD for hooking everything up. It really was one of those days that reminded me how great this job is…
New Work in the premiere issue of Bloomberg Pursuits. The story is about Mathematician and founder of the Museum of Mathmatics (MoMath), Glen Whitney. The issue is on newsstand now… More images and details of the shoot to come soon!
Messenger
Well, we are back from a well deserved holiday here at PJMP and very excited to bring to you lovely viewers, a new series we have been working on. The working title is “Messenger”. The series is a collection of photographs of commercial messengers here in New York City. Working in the city, one comes across many of these hard working individuals and the more you talk to them, the more amazing the stories become.. Hope you enjoy them and Happy New Year to you all!

A FEW EXTRAS FROM FORTUNE..
I got to meet and shoot the talented writer Katie Benner and Fortune’s Editor-At-Large, Shawn Tully for the Investor 2012 Guide Issue (Dec.), which just hit newsstands recently. The two portraits ran on Fortune’s “From the Editor’s Desk” page but here are some other setups we did that morning on Stone St, downtown NYC. Both Katie and Shawn were extremely fun, dapper, and very gracious with their time. Thanks again to Kate, Katie, and Shawn for the short, but sweet, shoot..
